You need
- a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery OR a Bachelor of Physiotherapy OR a Bachelor of Sport, Health and Physical Education or similar
- a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine or similar
- 7 years' medical training after graduation
- to complete the Part I and Part II examination to become a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP)
- an Annual Practising Certificate
- to pass a police check
