You need
- to complete the Health Sciences First Year programme at the University of Otago OR the first year of the Bachelor of Health Sciences, Bachelor of Biomedical Science or Bachelor of Science with a health major at the University of Auckland
- a [link id=060101 level=05 type=qual]Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery[/link
- a minimum of 2 years’ general hospital experience
- a minimum of 2 years’ further experience in medicine and sporting medicine
- to complete Part I exams in sports physiology, anatomy and pathology
- to complete the 4-year training programme and Part II exams to become a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP)
- an Annual Practising Certificate
- to pass a police check
