- a Bachelor of Dental Surgery
- a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) by completing training in oral and maxillofacial surgery through the RACDS
- an Annual Practising Certificate
- to pass a police check
