You usually learn on the job to become an assistant driller.
You need
- a driver licence
- to pass a drug test
You may need
- experience in similar work
- a New Zealand Certificate in Drilling (Level 3)
- a Class 2 driver licence or higher with a special-type vehicle endorsement
- to pass a police check and medical assessment
- to be registered with the New Zealand Drillers Federation (NZDF)
