Human welfare is the study of social intervention to improve people's social and economic wellbeing and understand how social policy is developed and managed. It gives you an understanding of people's social needs and the resources available to them, social influences on people's behaviour, and how to plan and deliver welfare programmes to meet people's needs.

Psychology is the study of how people's differences, experiences and environments affect their behaviour, and how to change that behaviour. It gives you an understanding of how humans develop, behave and interact and how to design research and analysis.
