You need to do training to become an appliance service technician and a qualification may be useful.
You need
- a New Zealand Certificate in Electrotechnology (Level 3) with a strand in Service OR
- to complete the Electrical Appliance Serviceperson (EAS) course and exam
- a Trainee Limited Certificate or practising licence
You may need
- a driver licence
