- Analyse project data to determine specifications or requirements.
- Draw detailed or technical illustrations.
- Update technical knowledge.
- Develop technical methods or processes.
- Prepare detailed work plans.
You usually need a qualification and experience to become a calibration technician.
You may need
- a relevant tertiary qualification
- experience in electrical engineering or an area related to calibration engineering
- electrical registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board
- to register with Engineering New Zealand
If you’re in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
