You need more than one qualification to become a genetic counsellor.
You need
- a Bachelor of Science or Biomedical Science
- a Master of Genetic Counselling from the University of Technology Sydney or University of Melbourne
- to be certified with the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors
- to be a member of Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors
You may need
- to be a fellow of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia
