You usually need a qualification to become a naturopath and experience may be useful.
You may need
- an Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences (Naturopathy and Nutrition)
- a Diploma of Māori Holistic Wellbeing or Chinese Medicine
- a Bachelor of Natural Medicine, Naturopathy, Naturopathic and Herbal Medicine or Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine or similar
- to pass a police check
- experience in similar work
- to join the Naturopaths and Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (NMHNZ)
