- Conduct scientific research of organisational behaviour or processes.
- Advise others on educational matters.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary research programmes.
- Develop educational programmes.
You need more than one qualification to become an educational psychologist.
You need
- a bachelor's degree or graduate diploma in psychology
- a master's degree or PhD in psychology, education focused on educational psychology, or a related area
- a postgraduate diploma in educational psychology practice OR in educational and developmental psychology
- an Annual Practising Certificate from the NZ Psychologists Board
- to pass a police check
