Manufacturing, engineering and technology is the study of how to plan, organise and operate manufacturing methods, processes, facilities and systems. It gives you an understanding of how to select and design tools for processes like machining, pressing, plating and assembly, select, design and develop processes and systems, plan and manage production and use machinery or equipment.

Process and resources engineering is the study of methods to locate, test, extract and process resources from the Earth, and to analyse and manufacture metals, ceramics and other materials. It gives you an understanding of how to develop and implement mining processes and material production, and design of chemical plants and control systems.

Automotive engineering and technology is the study of how to plan, design, develop, produce and maintain motor vehicles, earth-moving equipment, motorcycles and small engines. It gives you an understanding of automotive engineering theory and practice, how to build, paint and trim vehicles, and how to organise, work out the costs and do the tasks needed to design, build and maintain vehicles.

Mechanical and industrial engineering and technology is the study of how to plan, design, develop, make and maintain machines, mechanical plants and systems, and metal products. It gives you an understanding of plant, machinery and tools, how to fabricate, cast and weld metals, and how to organise, manage and complete these tasks.

Civil engineering is the study of how to plan, design, test and direct large-scale construction projects like buildings, bridges, roads, water supplies and sewerage systems. It gives you an understanding of civil engineering theory and technology, the impact that soil, water and stress has on structures, the environmental impact of construction projects, and how to plan and manage construction.

Geomatic engineering is the study of how to measure and visually represent natural and constructed environmental features. It gives you an understanding of cadastral law, surveying theory and technology, map design and construction theory, and how to organise, work out costs and complete the tasks of survey projects and map production.

Electrical and electronic engineering and technology is the study of how to plan, design, develop, test, install and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, machinery, systems, computers, communications and power equipment. It gives you an understanding of electrical and electronic theory and practice, wiring, circuitry and componentry, electrical safety and regulations, and how to organise, manage and complete electrical and electronic tasks.

Aerospace engineering and technology is the study of how to plan, design, develop and make aircraft structures and systems. It gives you an understanding of air and spacecraft research, manufacture, operations, maintenance and management, and structural aspects of airframes, aircraft controls, flight stability, and aircraft operational capability and safety.

Maritime engineering and operations is the study of how to maintain and operate machinery and systems on ships. It gives you an understanding of how to design, operate and manage marine engineering systems, and how to safely operate ships and other maritime facilities.
