  • Get advice – Guides on topics like choosing where to study, finding a job and making career decisions.
  • News – The latest career news and insights.

The content on the homepage is updated regularly, so it's worth checking what's featured.

The left-hand menu is the main way to move around Tahatū.

  • Search – Find content quickly. You can search for specific job titles, qualifications, school subjects, or topics like CVs and apprenticeships. Then narrow your search by using the filters.
  • The 5 main sections – Get inspired Kia whakaohooho, School and NCEA Kura, Study and training Ako, Work Mahi and Plan your future Whakamahere ā mua.
  • My kete – A personal collection where people can save things they want to revisit, like career ideas, qualifications, Interest quiz results and helpful guides (they must be signed into their account to save to My kete).

You'll also find CV templates and CV examples to help people create a personalised CV.

Kaupapa Māori career ideas
Ngā whakaaro aramahi kaupapa Māori,

Tahatū features a collection of career ideas that are unique to Aotearoa New Zealand –roles where you use te reo Māori, tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori in your everyday mahi.

These include careers like:

  • Kaikaranga – Weaver
  • Kaitiaki taiao māori – Kaitiaki ranger
  • Pouako – Māori medium teacher

Kaupapa Māori career ideas include a video of someone in the role and the pages can be read in te reo Māori or English.
