You usually learn on the job to become a shepherd and experience and a qualification may be useful.
You may need
- a driver licence
- a New Zealand Certificate in Primary Industry Skills (Level 2)
- a New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture (Level 3 and 4)
If you’re in school
You usually don’t need specific NCEA levels for this job, but NCEA Level 2 may be useful.
