- Thread wire or cable through ducts or conduits.
- Clean work sites.
You usually learn on the job to become an electrical trade assistant and a qualification may be useful.
You may need
- a Trainee Limited Certificate from the Electrical Workers Registration Board
- to do an apprenticeship and get a New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory and Practice (Trade) (Level 4)
- a driver licence

You usually need NCEA Level 2 to do the study or training for this job.
