- Enter patient or treatment data into computers.
- Develop health care quality and safety procedures.
- Clean medical equipment or facilities.
- Prepare medical supplies or equipment for use.
- Prepare biological specimens for laboratory analysis.
You need a qualification to become a medical laboratory scientist.
You need
- a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science
- 6 months’ experience as a trainee medical laboratory scientist
- an Annual Practising Certificate
- to pass a police check
You may need
- a relevant postgraduate qualification
- experience in similar work
