University Entrance or intermediate certificate
These courses develop your ability to understand how languages are structured and used. It includes European, Asian, Pacific, African and Middle Eastern languages, and classical and ancient languages.
Study level
Advanced certificates and diplomas are Levels 5–7. You can study Levels 1–3 for NCEA at secondary school. A higher level means the study or training is more advanced.
