The Kakala model supports career journeysE tautoko haerenga aramahi ana te tauira Kakala,
Talofa Lava, Malo e Lelei, Ni Sa Bula Vinaka, Kia Orana, Fakalofa Lahi Atu, warm Pacific greetings.
Pacific Work Connect finished on 30 June 2025, but you can still use its resources to help job seekers with their career journey.
These resources have been designed around the Kakala model (Konai Helu Thaman) to support job seekers with their career journey. Using the stages of Kakala helps job seekers to know where they are and where they want to be. This will support people to:
- reflect on their values, skills, experience and achievements
- collect information, grow their networks and connect to opportunities
- weave everything together into the right experience for them
- identify their goals and next steps.
There are two workbooks that cover different aspects of the career journey.
