- talk to clients about what they need
- talk to users to learn their needs
- plan website layout and navigation
- draft designs and test models
- design the layout of images and videos
- test designs with users for feedback
- work with writers and technical people
You usually need a qualification to become a UX designer and experience may be useful.
You may need
- a tertiary qualification in web development and design, graphic design, digital media and design or similar area
- a Master of User Experience Design
- a portfolio of user experience design work
- experience in similar work
If you’re in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
