- Melt metal, plastic, or other materials to prepare for production.
- Cast moulds of patient anatomies to create medical or dental devices.
- Prepare materials for processing.
- Measure clients to ensure proper product fit.
- Load items into ovens or furnaces.
You need a qualification to become a dental technician.
You need
- a Bachelor of Dental Technology OR an approved dental technology qualification and to pass an exam
- an Annual Practising Certificate
- to pass a police check
You may need
- a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology
