You usually need a qualification and experience to become a hydrologic technician.
You may need
- a New Zealand Diploma in Field Hydrology (Level 5)
- a Bachelor's degree in Earth sciences or similar
- a postgraduate qualification in Earth sciences or similar
- experience in similar work
- a driver licence
If you’re in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
