NCEA Level 1 or open entry
These courses develop your ability to install, maintain and repair plumbing, water and gas supply systems, gas appliances, water and gas meters, effluent disposal systems and drains.

Entry certificates are Levels 1–3. You can study Levels 1–3 for NCEA at secondary school. A higher level means the study or training is more advanced.
