If you’re looking for new skills or a confidence boost, you might find help right around the corner. Adult and Community Education (ACE) is a friendly way to learn in your own community. Most courses are short and easy to fit into your life.

What adult and community education involves
Ngā mahi e pā ana ki te mātauranga pakeke me te hapori,

Courses can take place at community centres, schools, wānanga, divisions of Te Pūkenga and other training organisations.

They can be run in different ways:

  • evenings during the week
  • full time during the week
  • weekends
  • over several sessions
  • as a one-off.

Class sizes are usually small, which can make it easier to learn new things.
